♥I Ain't Gonna Live Forever♥[/size]
History:
Rikku was born on Bikanel Island in Spira. Her family consists of her father, the Al Bhed leader and her older sibling, Brother. Her mother was killed when she was younger. Rikku is an Al Bhed girl, a race on Spira. The Al Bhed lived in the desert, due to the fact that they were shunned by the Yevonites for not believing in their beliefs. The Al Bhed also used machina, which was against the teachings of Yevon. Most Al Bhed also speak Al Bhed, but a select few know English. Rikku is fluent in both languages. Despite her being so young, Rikku went on several missions throughout Spira with her father and brother. She learned all about machina, and is very handy with it, knowing how to use it, as well as destroy it.
Rikku first runs into Tidus, and offers aid to Tidus shortly after he first arrives in the vicinity of Spira's mainland. Their meeting takes place at Baaj Temple, an ancient temple of Yevon. After helping Tidus defeat a fiend, her Al Bhed comrades arrive and believe him to be a fiend in human form, and wonder whether or not to kill him. Annoyed, Rikku forbids them from doing so, and tells them to bring Tidus with them. She also whispers that she's sorry in Tidus' ear then hits him hard in the stomach, which knocks him out cold.
When Tidus wakes up on their ship, Brother tries to interrogate him, but doesn't speak enough English. The other Al Bhed get frustrated when Tidus can't speak Al Bhed, but Rikku speaks to him in English, and translates Brother's weird sign language motions. Tidus then accompanies Rikku on an operation to activate the power source of a sunken airship. After returning to the ship, Brother and the others leave Tidus on deck. Rikku and Tidus begin to talk, building up a fast friendship. When Tidus says he came from Zanarkand, Rikku is at first confused by this and she explains that Zanarkand had been destroyed 1,000 years previously. She then promises to take him to Luca in the hope he might find someone he knows. However, Sin appeared and washed Tidus off the ship into the sea, leaving Rikku and the other Al Bhed behind.
Rikku runs into Tidus again, when she is trying to get to her cousin, Yuna. She is then introduced to the rest of the party and is given the chance to become a guardian to her cousin Yuna, which she accepts. Some of them also take notice to her being an Al Bhed, except the one who hates them the most, Wakka. While doing the pilgrimage, they are also trying to think of a way to defeat Sin, who they are running into constant battles and encounters with. While the party travels through the Thunder Plains, it is revealed that Rikku has an extreme case of astraphobia, or fear of Thunderstorms. When she was younger, Brother accidently hit her with a thunder spell, resulting in her fear. Rikku is in hysterics while passing though the entire time. Wakka eventually does find out of Rikku being an Al Bhed, when more of the Al Bhed arrive to kidnap Yuna. Wakka then blames the Al Bhed for Sin's coming, much to Rikku's dislike.
Rikku is also looking for a way to prevent her cousin Yuna from dying at the end of her pilgrimage which happens to most summoners who go on it. She goes with the party on the pilgrimage enjoying herself, but also worrying that she hadn't thought of a way to save Yuna from it. Once the pilgrimage is coming to an end, and no idea comes she really begins to worry.
As they neared Zanarkand, Rikku feels upset that no one had thought of a way to stop Yuna dying yet, but she remains hopeful that they'll see each other again. But Rikku's wish came true when, as they met with the unsent Lady Yunalesca, Yuna refused the Final Aeon. Afterwards, Rikku and Wakka came up with the idea that they should use the Hymn of the Fayth to lure Sin into a trap, but Lulu beat both of them from telling it to the others. Tidus finally must go with the other Fayths and leave behind his friends. Rikku is sad to see her friend go, and her and the others watch as he jumps off the farplane. Yuna also brings the eternal faith after Tidus performs this.
Two years later, Rikku, now 17, joins the Gullwings, a band of sphere hunters led by Brother. Rikku remains loyal to Yuna, giving her support when she discusses her feelings concerning the loss of Tidus, and her hopes to find him once more. In the past two years, Brother and Rikku had a falling out with Cid. When the Gullwings look for a sphere among the Zanarkand ruins, they find that Cid. The real journey starts after they learn that a sphere that resembles Tidus was found. The journey begins, and they travel all over Spira. They also have some run-ins with Leblanc and he goons, who are also after the spheres.
Rikku also meets up with her old friend Gippal – now the leader of the Al Bhed Machine Faction – who, being quite the ladies' man, would tease Rikku with his flirtatious jokes. He hints at them once having been a thing. Also, as Paine kept quiet about her past, Gippal has quite a reaction when he sees her. Rikku would also sometimes bug Paine about it, only to succeed in annoying her. However, Paine eventually tells them about her role as a sphere recorder for Crimson Squad, alongside Gippal, Baralai and Nooj.
The sphere doesn't end up being Tidus, but of a man who shares striking resemblence to him, Shuyin. However, Yuna seems to learn how to accept things a bit more. In the secret ending, Tidus actually comes back though.

RP Sample:
(I use the same roleplay sample for Rikku everytime. It's like two years old. I think I modified it a couple months back though. I should shut up and post it!)
Said the voice of Rikku as she wandered around a cliff like area in Spira searching for the treasure. Typical for the group of treasure and sphere hunters. She climbed over some rocks nearly loosing her balance. Just when she thought that she caught herself, she fell to the floor. However, Rikku couldn't just fall like a normal person. She had to roll down the rocks, banging hardly on all of them. However, she managed to get up, without a scratch. Now that required a lot of skill. She winced in pain, climbing to her feet again. She got up and rubbed her head. "Owwie." Rikku said and adjusted her blue headband. Yes she was known for using strange childlike sort of phrases as well. They often irritated Brother, her older sibling. But as usual Rikku didn't care. She liked to annoy people. Life was like a game to her. She may be seventeen, but she acted more like she was seven.
As Rikku continued to search for the treasure, she let out a sigh of bordeom. It wasn't fun to search for treasure alone. But just in case, Rikku held her pair of Twin Daggers in her hand. She was in her usual thief form, in case someone came up to steal from. Well she could pretty much steal from anyone, at least thats what she though. She could be slightly egotistical about her skills as a thief. Rikku grew bored, and she began to hum a tune to herself not really paying attention to where she was going and she tripped over something. Two falls in a row, huh? Believe it or not, she wasn't normally this clutzy. Clutzy, but not this clutzy. She stood up muttering something om Al Bhed most likely being something considered a swear in English. She looked at what she had tripped over. It was a chest. She opened it looking inside. The treasure! She had found it without even trying. Funny, when things worked out that way.
"Paine! Yunie! I found it!" Rikku called out in her loud obnoxious voice. Moments passed by, and no one was coming. Hmm. They must have been pretty far away. Out of range from her voice. And that must be pretty far, taking into consideration how loud Rikku was. Rikku looked to the lone treasure chest. She couldn't just let it sit like that. What if someone came along and snatched it when she went to go and look for Yuna and Paine. No way! She found this chest. HER. This chest was now property of the Gullwings, and no one else. Guess she'd have to just drag it back to the airship. Rikku grabbed it by the handle and started to tug. It moved slightly. Sheesh. It was heavier than it looked. She tugged again and again.
Within a few moments, the chest moved slightly. Rikku just gave up and she sat down on the chest. "Oh foofie!" She said.
