Shinra HQ

Although the greater part of the city of Midgar still lies in ruins, ShinRa HQ has been fully rebuilt.

As always, ShinRa is a centre of controversy and intrigue. Many still view ShinRa with a deep mistrust, but what exactly is going on within these walls is a mystery. Has ShinRa mended its ways, or will it merely bring about more suffering?

Gold Saucer

The Gold Saucer is high up, and can only be reached by taking the cable car up. Once you arrive you can pay 100 gil for a 1 day GP or 1000 gil for a season pass. Choose a hole to go down, leading to different areas. Such as the chocobo races, event square where plays are held, ghost square you can find a inn, battle square where the bar is and of course the prison below. There is also a new addition to Wonder Square, some anonymous person added a restaurant in.

The Slums

Although they have never been a nice place, the Slums are in worse condition than ever. Run down, deserted, and crawling with monsters, the Slums are probably best avoided.

However, in places, it seems that the planet is starting to revive... the flowers that Aerith once sold have spread now that the plate is broken and sunlight can reach the ground. It seems destruction was the only way for the dream of seeing Midgar full of flowers to come true.

Edge

After the Meteorfall distaster which left Midgar in ruins, its surviving inhabitants began to build a new town on the northernmost borders of the abandoned metropolis. In the town square stands the Meteor Monument, constructed by ShinRa to commemorate the destruction of Midgar and pay homage to the victims. Destroyed once by Bahamut SIN, it has now been rebuilt. Tifa's bar, Seventh Heaven, is also located in Edge.

Built as a sanatorium for people suffering Geostigma, it is a peaceful place surrounded by trees and waterfalls. Though Geostigma has been cured, this place still offers refuge to those suffering other such chronic diseases and mental disorders.

Luca

Luca is the second largest city in Spira, home of the blitzball team Luca Goers. It also houses the only blitzball stadium in Spira. Because of this, the Crusaders, a group organized to protect the people of Spira from Sin, fought to the death in order to protect it. Blitzball was the only form of entertainment for the people of Spira during the time of Sin, and losing the stadium would have been a serious blow to their morale.

Mi'ihen Highroad

The Mi'ihen Highroad links the city of Luca to Mushroom Rock Road. It is also the road that

Lord Mi'ihen, creator of the Crusaders, walked on to face a trial of Yevon. The clergy thought that his organization was dangerous to the temples; however, he convinced them that he was no threat, and they made his group an arm of Yevon. Beyond the travel agency, the road separates into two different paths. The lower path is called the "Old Road" and may have been the path that Lord Mi'ihen traveled. It is a narrow path that is now used mostly when someone falls off the main highroad.

Moonflow

The Moonflow is a large river running through the heart of Spira. It is notable for shoopuf rides and for the pyreflies that congregate around the surface of the water. An ancient machina city lies at the bottom of the Moonflow. Long ago, in hubris, a city was built on top of the river. It is said, however, that nature prevailed, and the city sank into the waters.

Thunder Plains

The Thunder Plains are the site of a vast, never-ending thunderstorm. Many a traveler met their end here, until an Al Bhed by the name of "Bilghen" set up lightning rod towers to draw the lightning away from the main path. Ironically, he died after being hit by a stray bolt. With the arrival of the Eternal Calm and Sin's permanent defeat, the Al Bhed fortified the towers so the lightning would not harm travelers.

Eventually, the forest led out into an icy lake, which is the location of Macalania Temple, home of the fayth for the aeon Shiva, which is the reason for Macalania's frozen environment.

Calm Lands

The Calm Lands are the location where Bevelle and Zanarkand fought their most brutal and destructive battle, some years. The war left the land practically dead and barren. Eventually, summoners took note of this uninhabited land; it was an ideal place to perform the Final Summoning. It became known as "the Calm Lands", as it is where summoners defeat Sin and bring the Calm. The Calm Lands also house the hidden Remiem Temple which was lost as Sin tore the earth asunder with the last of its strength combatting High Summoner Gandof¡ªthe location where the forgotten fayth of the three Magus Sisters aeons rests. You can play games here, and do some side missions for people since it is a wide open field.

It is littered with the graves of summoners who died trying to pass.Kimahri is now the leader of the tribe, and always enjoys seeing Yuna.

The Zanarkand Ruins are the desiccated remains of the once great machina city, Zanarkand. A war between Bevelle and Zanarkand 200 years ago.Once active and full of life, it was left dark, home only to dust and fiends. It was here that Yunalesca awaited the arrival of the strongest of the summoners, so that she might bestow upon them the Final Summoning to defeat Sin.

Bhujerba

An independent city-state found on the sky continent of Dorstonis. Its history began as a mining colony during the advent of the airship. The volume of magicite in the floating lands surpasses that on the surface, and Bhujerba developed rapidly due to this. The Ondore family remained in charge of Bhujerba's governance ever since the time of the Galtean Alliance. Bhujerba acted as mediators during the Archadian invasion due to their neutrality. Bhujerba is a city of hilly terrain, with shops clustered near peaks, and residences in the valleys. The bottom are found crystalline shafts known as the Lhusu Mines. Tourists flock to Bhujerba to enjoy the open-air parks boasting wonderful views of the sky. Cases of people falling from the skycities are rarely reported, and there has been no deaths so far.

Eruyt Village

Hidden village of Viera in Golmore Jungle. Viera enclaves are scattered throughout the jungle, but all are warded against entry by those of other tribes or lands. Viera are reclusive by nature, living separate from the world outside, shunning even the society of their own kind, save when necessity demands. This isolation is in part made possible by the Viera ability to hear the spirit voice of the Wood, and thereby know all that comes to pass within Her borders. Throughout the history of Ivalice, rarely have the Viera ventured beyond the borders of the Wood, and few outsiders know of their laws or customs.
Viera villages are formed of massive trees linked by suspended paths, with dwellings and small shrines to the spirit of the Wood encircling the trunks. During the day, many viera come to a clearing in the village, where a glistening spring bubbles up from the earth, to meditate. Their leader resides in the center of the village, and governs according to the Word of the Wood. Those who perform the sacred ceremonial duties of salve-maker or wood-warder stand at her side, defending the ways of the village and of the Viera.

Nabradia

The neighbor of Dalmasca, both of which were found by the bloodlines of Dynast-King Raithwall. Nabradia was the center of agriculture and industry, boasting natural resources and verdant landscape. Two years prior to the Archadian invasion, internal strife led to civil war, allowing the forces of Archadia to invade. Several days after the siege of Nabudis, the city was destroyed by a mysterious explosion (revealed to be caused by the Midlight Shard), wiping out Nabudis from the world map and leaving behind nothing but ruin and death. The rich concentration of Mist flowing from the explosion mutated beings into fearsome monsters, their combination keeping sane minds away.

Archadia

Founded as a republic governed by an active senate, this is the mightiest sovereign state in Valendia. The republic became an empire 200 years ago with the strengthening of its military power. Ever since, Archadia began invading its neighbors in an effort to expand its territories. In the past, an emperor is chosen from within the military, but as time passed, the politically powerful House Solidor manage to transform this system by removing all key figures of the military, establishing the leaders of House Solidor as emperors ever since.
