Besaid Island. No, this place was something else. This place was foreign. This place was an island -- an island that was so different, so virbant and yet, entirely strange to her. Yes, Lightning Farron had found herself on an island with no collection of its habitants or signs of intelligence.
Lightning awoke with a painful throb in her head. For all she knew, she was in Bodhum but now? She found herself stuck on an island she knew nothing about. Eyes opened and her ears picked up the sounds of water. Eyebrows frowned in a matter of confusion with a mix of concern. She sat up, placing her right gloved hand at the side of her temple, making a small hiss before she finally regained her composure. Once again her eyes scanned teh area before her. It was no place she has ever seen.
After a while of recollecting her thoughts and her questions, she managed to stand and do something about it: get answers. She stood up, taking one last look out in the ocean and then allow her booted feet to take her in whichever direciton. Aside from being utterly lost, the view of the island was calm and serene. It was almost like Bodhum, where the beach was as calm as this one. After she had crossed over a bridge enxt to a waterfall, she stopped. It was then that she stopped nothing more but a brief moment. She ehard sounds of young voices filled with cheerful tones. "People? She thought. Of course, without a second thought, her pace of a walk had slightly became quicker. Upon gathering the eventful cheers getting louder, she spotted a group of young teens gathered in a wide and slope area. They were apparently playing some kind of sport with a ball and all the while they had stopped to look at her.
Lightning noticed right away that this was not her world. It oculdn't be. From the moment she laid her eyes on the ocean, to the environment and then now seeing how the people here dress. A slight pause caused nothing but to make her break it. "Can you . . . tell me where I am?" As ridiculous as that may sound, she had no other form of words to say. She's not one to really greet, let alone start up a conversation. She way? Get to the point.

A light groan escaped the lips of another pink haired individual, further down the beach to be more precise. Or if you really wanted to get technical, opposite of where Lightning had been. Except she was laying in behind a crease in the cliffside on the sand, her eyes still shut she could hear the sound of waves. Also the sound of gulls and as her hands slid foreward, she could feel the softness of the sand. Now this didn't feel right. How did she wind up laying on the sand, as she slowly opened her eyes. Serah blinked lightly, then opened her eyes wide in surprise. Quickly sitting up she glanced up to see the cliffside above her, with bushes and flowers. Then looked back down to see the sand, picking some up in her hands and letting it run through her fingers. Maybe she was having a bad dream, and if she pinched herself she would wake up. Closing her eyes she pinched her arm, then opened them again seeing nothing had changed.
Slowly standing up, Serah quickly brushed herself off and took a step out onto the beach. Glancing down the sandy beach she thought she saw someone, but than they disappeared. The odd thing about it was that it looked like her sister, but that couldn't be possible could it. What would Lightning be doing on a sandy beach of all places. Shaking her head lightly she knew she couldn't stay down here all day, so Serah decided to head off and find anyone who might tell her where she is. Following the cliffside she soon came around a corner to a path, leading into what looked like a jungle. And this must have been where that other person she saw go as well, there was no turning back or anywhere else to go except onward.
She was not afraid, she was brave and willing to face anything set before her. Putting a hand to her faded brand, she frowned lightly then headed up into the jungle. As she walked along, Serah noticed it was quiet except for the idle chatter of animals nearby. She smiled lightly and just made her way through this peaceful place slowly. Taking in everything, she then walked by some pillars. Heading down a dirt path, the sound of water could be heard as she came to a bridge with a cascading waterfall beside it. Running to the middle of the bridge she gazed up in awe at the waterfall, wishing her sister or Snow could see this.
Taking one last look, she continued across the bridge until she heard voices nearby. Walking by a statue of somesort, then down a hill and down a path. As she came closer a voice she recognized made her stop in her tracks, there just a few inches in front of her was a familiar pink haired girl. Serah couldn't believe it, Light she was really here. Actually standing in front of her, she could almost feel tears threatning to fall. "Lightning.......sister, is it really you. Please tell me this is not a dream, I don't want to wake up".

Before a word could be said out of any of the men, Lightning heard a familair voice. A voice she recgonized all too well. "Lightning.......sister, is it really you. Please tell me this is not a dream, I don't want to wake up". If only she would believe that it was a dream, but it wasn't. Lightning turned around, giving all her attention to whom was now Serah. In a way, she felt relieved now that she had found her sister. Or well, her sister found her. A slight look of released tension moved across her face. "Serah . . . how did--" She stopped herself, shaking her head a bit. "I wish it was a dream but this is real." Those eyes glanced over her shoulder to take a good look around again. It was still the same place she remembered when she woke up at the beach. It was so foreign, so unreal to her. Everything about this place was getting stranger and stranger - their envorinment, their clothes, just everything. Lightning once again turned her attention to Serah and then back at the men who were just giving them stares. She wanted answers and she wanted them now.

So the person she had seen leaving the beach, it really wasn't a figment of her imagination. The person she had been following was her sister, Serah didn't want to believe it at first. Since she thought it was just a dream, but now as she stands here she can cleary see that this was her sister Lightning. Except it wasn't a complete reunion, they were missing Snow and where he was she had no idea. Oh well they would come across him sooner or later, heading over to her sister she threw her arms around her giving her a hug. "I saw someone leave the beach, and followed". Pulling back from the hug, she looked up at her sister and gave a small smile. Glancing over to the people just standing there, shock on their faces. Serah let her eyes wander over the attire they were wearing, the different colors and jewelery. This unfamiliar place was just full of surprises, wasn't it.
Her gaze shifted back to Lightning, than over to the men. Just standing around wasn't going to get them answers, and she wanted to do it the gentle way. Not how her sister would do it, and demand. Walking around her sister she approached the men, or rather teenagers. One still held the ball they were playing with a momment before, and all eyes seemed to be on her. "Do you suppose you could tell us where we are, we're very far from home". Folding her arms and hands behind her back, she waited to see if they would say anything. Finally one of the boys stepped foreward, and explained to her the island they were now on was called Besaid Island. Nodding a thank you, she turned back to Lightning. "We are on Besaid Island, that's what the boy said".
Serah had never heard of this island before, hence why nothing felt familiar to home. And now that they knew where they were, question was which direction did they head in. Besaid was nowhere near home, so how were they going to do this. And what if they encountered enemies, she couldn't fight. Serah didn't have the eidolons like her sister and Snow, since her focus had been completed quickly. The best she could probably do was throw rocks, or distract a monster if they came across any. But what if the people here called them something different, after all this wasn't their world. "Lightning, I guess you haven't seen Snow have you?" She had been so worried about her sister and Snow, when the got seperated. And now that she didn't have to worry so much about her sibling, she really wanted to find her fiancee.

Lightning was unclear about everything but one: her sisters here and that was a sign of something. For all she knew, one minute she was ready to ask again to where she was to the next minute of being hugged by her sister. Lightning could not help but return the same gesture, only because the two reunited. And in a good situation too.
"I saw someone leave the beach, and followed".
That was Serah's reply and after their hug, Lightning would only glance down at her sister. "I'm glad you did, otherwise I would not have known you're here." She replied. However, she watched her sister move away and look at the boys. Lightning, too, turned to look at them to see if they would reply. Her arms had crossed over her chest, her eyes wandering from one person to the next. It didn't take long before one finally approached up and sumbit where they were. "We are on Besaid Island, that's what the boy said".Besaid Island. It was a name unknown to her and very unfamilair. Eyebrows frowned downward, in confusion nonetheless. Her hands now resting on her hips as her head had slightly turned to the side. "Besaid Island . . . we're definitely not even in our world. That's the only explaination." She thought outloud. "Lightning, I guess you haven't seen Snow have you?"Her thoughts were distracted at Serah's question. Snow? She hadn't seen Snow, not since the aftermath of what happened back in Cocoon. Her eyes looked at Serah once again, a small and forced side smile brushing along her lips. She shook her head slightly, hoping Serah would know her answer. "No, I haven't seen him. He might be here too, if we're all put here. Question is: why and how?" Once again she let her concern take over. Her right hand moved to her necklace, still in that thoughtful trance. So now it was not only just figuring out where they are but also to find Snow. This was going to be someething new and certainly a challenge.

Serah just gave a small smile to Lightning, had she not followed her from the beach she would still be down there. And a gut instinct told her to go, of course she didn't just rush off. The pink haired girl had taken in the sights of this strange island, amazed at the huge jungle and the ruins which hid and poked out in various places. And then that waterfall as you crossed that bridge, it was really breathtaking. But now that she was reunited with her sister they could figure out what to do, there had to be someway to get back home or at least find a way off this island. With a response to her comment, Serah nodded. "Just call it a hunch, and gut instinct". She laughed lightly. Giving her sister a hug, and feeling a return hug she was just so happy to find a familiar face. Moving back, she went to ask the boys who had been playing where they were.
The boy explained to her she was on Besaid Island, thanking him she turned back to her sister. Telling her what the boy said, and waited for a response. Serah watched as Lightning put her hands on her hips, and had inclined her head to the side before speaking. Serah shook her head at her response, well of course this wasn't their world. Last she checked the people back home didn't wear clothing like these people wore, and didn't have a jungle enviroment and ruins. "Well of course not sis, home never looked as beautiful as this". Sometimes she wished it did, this could be something she could get used to. It just had that feeling of relaxation and peace. It was calm, and it seemed these people just went on with their lives without a care in the world.
Now her next question, she had asked if Light had seen Snow. With her arms behind her back, she rocked back and forth on her feet. Her eyes on her sister, seeing a forced smile brush lightly across her lips. And here came the head shake, and the dreaded answer to her question. Serah felt her heart drop, she had a feeling he wouldn't be here. But she perked up hearing he might be, it would be a reunion. Then another question, why and how they came to be here. She wanted to know that as well, how come this was happening to them. They had peaceful lives ahead of them, and now this mess. Seeing Lightning move her hand to her necklace, Serah did the same with her pendant holding it tightly. Letting her hand slide to her side, she frowned lightly. "Come on sis, let's start looking then".

"Just call it a hunch, and gut instinct".
Lightning was just grateful to see her little sister. Those words only gave her the reassurance she was seeking, knowing that she's not alone on this island. Now it was only a matter of getting out of here and possibly find a way back home. Well, if they could get back home at least.
"Well of course not sis, home never looked as beautiful as this".
Lightning was unaware that she had spoken outloud and the response from her sister proved that she did. Her eyes moved from the ground beneath her feet and to her sister. A small sideways nod comfrimed her obvious assumption that they were not in their world. "I didn't expect you to hear that. But . . ." Her eyes wandered off to once again explore her surroundings. It was certainly not like home and Serah was right: it's far more exotic than Bodhum. "It's different, most definitely." She admitted, which would be her way of agreeing at how beautiful the island was. Come on sis, let's start looking then".Lightning had a feeling Serah's reaction would be just as she saw her: heartbroken. Lightning had removed her hand from her pendant, allowing it to relax at her side. She was ready to take a step foward to her sister before Serah spoke up. So she had high hopes that he might be here. It was no doubt, Serah was optimistic about finding Snow here. Lightning couldn't argue and simply nodded to explore the island.

Serah waited for Lightning to start following her, or should it be the other way around. After all she was the one with weapons, the best Serah could do when it came to monsters or enemies would be to throw sticks and stones at them. At least now she knew she wasn't alone on this island, hearing her sister's voice had put her mind at ease. What had started out as a lonely trek from the beach, had turned into a reunion. The people here seemed kind, but also a little on edge and insecure. Probably not used to seeing such people wearing clothing like hers and Light's. Though when Serah spoke to them, she had used gentle words. Assuring them that she and her sister meant no harm. Getting the answers she needed the boys simply went on their way, down the hill to the little village at the bottom. Besaid Island, it sure lived up to it's name. It was beautiful and quiet, something she could get used to if she really wanted to stay here for abit.
But this wasn't home, and it was true of what she said. Home never did look as beautiful and serene as this place, and if Light didn't want her to hear what she said. Then maybe she shouldn't think outloud. "Maybe you shouldn't think outloud then sis, though I don't mind". Serah let her gaze wander about the many surroundings of this island, she could hear the sound of birds she never heard before. You could smell the ocean even though it was far behind them, and of course the people here. With their funny clothing, and strange hairdo's. Nodding to her sister's statement, Serah then suggested they start looking for Snow.
Although the girl was smiling, and tryed to keep a bright look on her face. She was worried and concerned for her fiancee, her eyes fell upon the pendant around her sister's neck. Which she had been grasping but now let go, but she didn't question her sister as to why she grabbed ahold of it. As for herself she had her own, an engagement pendat given to her by Snow. Turning on her heel she began to walk foreward, who knows what they may encounter on this island. Who they would meet, or what new dangers awaited them. Guess this was like an adventure for her, exploring a new land and finding a way home. "I hope we meet someone who knows this place, perhaps they could lead us in the right direction".
