Her mind was a jumbled mess as of late, being tossed into a world she knew nothing about. She couldn't find her home, she was lost, to be quite frank. This wasn't an unusual occurrence, as she recalled trying to make her way through Cocoon as she split up with Fang. She had no idea where she was, as the girl sat idly on a wall, viewing the town around with her emerald coloured eyes. It was all too weird, as the memories of that last battle where all a blur. She was no longer on Cocoon or Gran Pulse for that matter. No sigh or anyone or anything familiar. It distressed her slight, as she played with the hem on her skirt.
Where was everybody for that matter? Where they okay? Those thoughts ran through her mind as she sat there in the open, trying to make sense of it all. Being alone wasn’t what she wanted, although she knew it was just something she had to bear. At least till she could find the others and a way to get home..It wasn’t certain at this point if it were possible. A gentle sigh retched from the red-heads lips, finger tracing the cold concrete wall.
It seemed all new to her, like it had just been newly made. She didn’t know anything about this place and was not quick enough to make assumptions. Before the boredom decided to take over, Vanille jumped carefully off of the low wall, her boots gently clunking on the ground. She needed a short walk to clear her head or at least to give her something to do.
The girl’s steps were light as she skipped through the town, not visibly paying attention as to where she was going. The optimistic red-head wasn’t thinking of the negatives right now, as she tried to occupy her mind. Vanille skipped down a quiet path before collapsing to her knees on the ground. She forgot how exhausted she was after travelling around the area. All she wanted was to understand where she was, but alias she was no closer to the truth. The girl leaned against a rock, her eyes cast up to the sky. It was getting dark, as the sky began to change. She just sat there idly, taking in a deep breath. Her eyes began to close as the Pulsian drifted off.

you oughta know tonight is the night to letIT GO. PUT ON A SHOW, I WANNA SEE HOW YOUlose control. so leave it behind 'cause we have a night to get away. so come on Another world he hasn't explored.
It's another world Sora knows nothing of, but for reasons he cannot explain, there is a strange sort of congruence when he sees it for the first time. Truth be told, had Sora had a choice, he'd be back home, resting, laughing with his friends and attending school like a normal teenager. Unfortunately, there is no choice. There has never been a choice, and as unfair as it sounds, Sora has come to accept it, albeit slowly. His destiny as Keyblade wielder has given him this notion that he will never be free of this traveling, and he supposes that as long as there is an ounce of darkness in the world, then he'll never be able to live a normal life, either.
The thought of it is sickening, and unfair.
Sora lets out a little sigh, before shaking his head. It's an honor to be picked as something of a gravity such as a Keyblade warrior, he supposes. It's an honor to be the one responsible for the light and the hope in the world, even if it does seem like a big burden to shoulder.
The brunette's thoughts are easily swayed, however, especially when the added fact that most of the people in this world seem not to have much trouble at all. Although the city looked newly rebuilt and there were still some people attempting to fix a roof or whatever, Sora finds that none of them really need his help. He's offered the help, of course, but all of them had simply told him that a strong young man like you shouldn't have to be bothered with things like this. Sora still remembers the little chuckle of one of the adults at the dejected look on his face. He's gotten comments before that he resembled something akin to a kicked puppy at some point of his life, and he wonders if that's the funny thing. Hopefully it isn't. That'd be embarrassing.
His steps quicken when he realizes that nobody needs him, and that he can waste his time exploring.
Joy floods him when he feels the wind rush through his hair, his arms extending a little as he continues to run. There're some children that join him at some point, but when the sky threatens them with sunset, they all say goodbye to him and he says goodbye as well. Sora doesn't stop running, though, and some people that jog with him ask him why, at which the young male shrugged his shoulders - for not even our hero knew why he was running about like a fool.
It's when he goes down a specific path that he ends up tripping, a little wince of pain slipping past his lips when his forehead begins to hurt. Sora sits on the ground, indian-style, nursing the little bump and casting a small little Curaga spell to get it to hurt less. He's so distracted by it that when he sees a female leaning against a rock (seemingly unconscious, but Sora's learned, lately, not to trust unconscious-looking people), he's vaguely surprised.
The boy puffs up his cheeks for a moment, before he crawls over to her, gently prodding her.
"Uh.. miss? Are you.. lost or somethin'?"

Visions of Gran Pulse came flooding back to Vanille as she sat there idly, letting the sun gently warm down on her. The grand pastures, the creatures and the enormity of the land was what she missed most. She loved nature, as Gran Pulse was filled with happier memories for when she was a young child. Everything was simple then, unlike now. It was complicated, as she knew that fate had changed its mind. She didn’t know what to think, not stuck in a strange place nether. It was a nice enough village, but it would never be home. In fact, it was unlikely she would see home again. Not that it was hospitable anymore. The last time she saw, it was a complete wreck, with ruins and cie’th everywhere. It was not the same old village she grew up in, not at all.
It wasn’t just the place she missed, it was the people, although most where long gone. But she did happen to miss her friends she made back on Cocoon. She hoped they were still okay and half wondered if they were here too. So far, there was no trace of them. A gentle sigh heaved from her lips as she sat there day dreaming, not completely off to dream land yet. It was a lot to think about and to be honest, she was still rather confused by it all.
It wasn’t like Fang was here to help clear up this confusion. Being alone in this world didn’t happen to help either. In the near distance, the girl was sure she heard something…or perhaps it was someone? She wasn’t too sure, until something gently poked her arm. With that, her eyes snapped open, locking on a boy glancing at her.
It took a few seconds for her too jolt back to reality, shaking her head. ”I don’t know. But this isn’t home. So I must be lost” Vanille pondered out loud, finger in front of her lips as she sat up straight.
After her little ramble, she smiled at the boy. ”Do you know your way around here?” she asked, placing her hands on her lap. ” What’s your name? I’m Vanille” the energetic girl asked politely, holding out one of her hands. She couldn’t help but be polite, after all, it was the best way to meet new friends.

you oughta know tonight is the night to letIT GO. PUT ON A SHOW, I WANNA SEE HOW YOUlose control. so leave it behind 'cause we have a night to get away. so come on Sora's about to leave, figuring that perhaps he shouldn't have disturbed the girl while she was resting, but on further analysis of the clouds in the sky he was absolutely certain that raindrops would be falling in due time. He moves back so that he's standing again, and he dusts himself off, making sure that he isn't facing the unconscious female as he does so. He's made the mistake of doing that while facing Kairi, and man, she'd been so mad when she woke up with dirt all over her clothes. It's just as he's about to make his way down the path once more to some other unknown territory that a voice makes its way through his ears, the brunette's body turning a hundred and eighty degrees to face the girl leaning against the rock. He blinks once, twice; thrice simply for good measure - and then a little smile lifts onto his face. This girl's in the same predicament he's in, and although it's a little horrible, Sora's a little relieved that she is.
He doesn't want to venture alone.
"I'm.. lost, too,"
he says, when she asks him if he knows where to go. Truth be told, Sora's always had an awful sense of direction. It was under the guidance of that temperamental duck, Donald, that he'd actually been able to make sense of where and where not to go. He places a hand on the back of his head, gently rubbing the brown spikes that rest there. He tilts his head to the side, however, when she introduces herself, and says her name. A full-blown grin spreads across his baby face, the young lad taking her hand and shaking it firmly. "Vanille, huh?" he asks, testing out her name on his tongue. It's a new one, definitely different in comparison to the names he's used to on the island, and Sora's lips form a happy, cheerful little smile. "I'm Sora," he says with a little nod, his fingers slipping away from her hand and both his hands slipping into his pockets. "It's awesome meeting you out here by a rock, by the way. It's a cool place for us to hang out." It's his little attempt at loosening, at lightening the mood a little. It's never a good thing to get lost, especially if you were lost in a place that you've never been to. It's even worse if you get lost on your own, and Sora knows that probably this girl doesn't like it, either. She seems the type to like having friends, and Sora doesn't blame her. It's what he loves, too - and what he lives for. Maybe he can live for Vanille, too, someday.[/blockquote] TAGGED vanille :'D WORDS fourfivetwo. Vanille let out a small yawn as she opened her eyes, still a bit exhausted from all the travelling she had been doing. It was strange being such a new place but she hoped in time she would find her way out. She had missed home, but it didn’t mean she couldn’t have any fun here. There were plenty of new places to explore, new people to see. All that made her relax slightly after all it couldn’t be long till she met up with her friends again, right?
She turned to the boy with a smile, now obvious that he was new around here too. That thought made her feel at ease, as they were both in similar situations. “Being lost isn’t fun. I need to look around here more…” Vanille shook her head, as she looked down the lane of this quiet village. It wasn’t anything she was used to, although that happened to be interesting in her eyes. She nodded with a big grin, her hands playing her pigtails.
After the quick break she was soon getting restless, as it was getting very apparent. “Nice to meet you Sora!” Vanille smiled, eyes glancing up at the sky briefly then around the village. “Yeah it is nice! Has a nice view of the place, don’t you think?” the girl babbled, just glad for the company. Besides, he seemed rather friendly, much like her old friends. He reminded her of Hope back on Cocoon, although he was bit shy unlike Sora here.
”It isn’t like home, but it’s quite alright. Not enough nature though” she mused out loud to her new acquaintance, as she stood up, straightening herself out. ”Oooh I know! We should go explore!” she almost shouted leaning against the rock. ”Only if you want to” she tilted her head with a gentle smile. She hoped he would say yes, as she was getting rather restless.
