Penelo was usually never the one to actually fly the ship. Vaan was the one that flew the ship. But the thing that drove the ship more than either one of them was the autopilot. The autopilot was reliable and never got them lost. Vaan often did, and Penelo was usually...just not very adequate with it. She was always nervous she'd hurt someone or something, so she avoided flying at all costs. But now that she was somehow alone and without Vaan, she had to fly it. "Come on, come on..."
Oh, and did I mention that the Auto Pilot went out for some reason, and her instruments were going crazy. There was a warning flashing throughout the bridge and Penelo was starting to panic. Everything was extremely clouded around her, she couldn't see blue sky anymore, not even behind her. She sent up several prayers to a god to keep the ship safe as she tried to land this thing, and hope the weather was better. She slowed the ship down as much as she could, in the event of a collision, and was working on decreasing her altitude when....
Well, it wasn't pretty, but the side of a huge ass mountain caught her ship like a baseball glove. She was thrown from the seat of the controls and hit the glass window she peered through and screamed out in pain. The glass cracked beneath her weight, one of the engines exploded and she started to fade out of consciousness. However, warning lights and sirens were flashing, one right by her face. It brought her back, enough for her to start crawling for the exit. She hit the button next to the door as hard as she could and it opened, barely. The ship had hit the mountain straight on, fell a little, and then rolled to it's side. So as Penelo stepped out of the door, she expected to find ground there, but her feet touched open air. She passed out when she landed ten feet below on the ground.
(She landed at the open area where YRP fights those three Ronso, the one's name has escaped me, though)

The shaking of the mountain went far from unnoticed as almost instantly panic and unrest began to rise throughout the younger of the Ronso as many of them packed their weapons and already began to trudge their way to the clearing near the peak where the supposed object struck against the mountain. Their advances were stopped by the hand of someone they both respected and feared, their elder who quickly made a stand in front of them.
"Ronso will not go up mountain. Ronso needed to defend land, Kimahri will investigate alone...." He said to them before heading up from before. Although some questioned what he ruled they eventually set up defenses to keep themselves safe from attack while their leader set on foot up the mountain. Luckily for him the fiends that still inhabited the frozen trails were frightened off, probably by whatever struck the mountain. Kimahri could not blame them, a huge trumor usually meant a massive avalanche not long afterwords and that could be devastating.
He clutched his weapon, the mighty Spirit Lance in his right hand as he quickly bent down lightly and pressed hard against the snow-covered earth, sending him high in which he landed on a small ledge on which he did the same to another. Soon enough he climbed much higher than if he had just ran up the slope. He looked up and gasped lightly as he saw in the distance what looked to be a massive plume of smoke coming from the distance, which instantly led him to believe that somehow a fire was started. The Ronso tensed up and sprinted the rest of the way as he quickly came into the clearing in which he remembered fate being decided, the place were Yuna and her friends put a younger Ronso in his place when they decided to slay all the Guado so long ago.
But now it held something different, there seemed to be a craft similar to Cid's Airship and it looked horribly damaged, probably thanks to it smacking the mountain. Even more noticable he saw the body of a girl, young probably younger than Rikku draped in the snow. Evidently she was the one who ended up piloting the craft into the mountain. He was about to walk up to her to lend assistance when finally the fiends began to appear and they came for the weaker of the two, the woman. Rorok glared lightly as the fiends, wolves to be precise ran towards the woman only to receive a massive blast of fire coming from the Ronso Elder.
He smirked lightly, Lulu had came well when it came to training him in the Arcane Arts, both destructive and healing. He focused his energy once again, this time on the woman, and soon enough a small glow and a sparkle showed him that he had properly managed to heal her, even lightly. He quickly jogged to her not long after, hoping that it wasn't too late.
"You, are you alright?" He questioned to her, kneeling down to get a better look.
((I...assume Kim-kun would be compassionate for even people he doesn't know. xD I hope.....I know he didn't like strangers when he was with Yuna for obvious reasons, but I don't know if he grew out of that.
And crud, I think I accidentally melded some of my OC's personality into him as well. If its too OoC just tell me and I'll edit.))

((I think you nailed his personality pretty good, if I do say so myself. And I agree with me on that, so now you have two separate opinions on the matter. No need to edit ^_^))
Everything was dark and she couldn't really feel or tell where her surroundings were, however everything hurt. But then, she felt the light tingling sensation of magic on her limbs and head and suddenly she didn't hurt but she could feel. She felt cold stone on her face as well as heat on her back, and in front of her, she lifted her head faintly to see something running for her. She rolled onto her back, trying to be fast, but she was still terribly groggy. She started to shield herself from the oncoming threat (or so she thought) but then the animal/cat/beast/person spoke to her. She opened her eye a little wider and willed her vision to focus so she could look at the face that saved her. She put two and two together, and figured he was the one that healed her. She started to sit up slowly.
"I will be, thank you." She smiled at him and then looked above her and growned. "Vaan is going to kill me when he finds out I crashed his ship." She then looked back at her rescuer and held her hand out for a shake and introductions. "I'm Penelo." She folded her legs beneath her and looked at the mountain, seeing the crumbled rock, her heart went out to it and she frowned a little, what if she killed someone? She put her hand over her mouth and scrambled to her feet and then moved towards the front of the airship that was half covered in rocks. The engine still smoked overhead, threatening to explode. She summoned a quick Water spell and sent it into it to douse the flames. It hissed and the black smoke turned to white. She then moved back towards the big guy, noticing his very intimidating weapon, which reminded her about her stuff inside.
"Could you lift me up so I can climb back inside, please? I need to get some things, just in case I need them. Please." She wasn't asking too much, right?

The Ronso Elder let out a small noise similar to a sigh, glad that the woman was alright, it'd be terrible had she died with the fiends all around her. "Penelo need not to thank Kimahri, Kimahri only do whats right..."He said to her kneeling to pick her up in his massive arms and walking in the ship himself with her in tow. "What does Penelo need?" He muttered to her as he left his mighty weapon on the side in order to help her more.
The interior of the ship was astounding, Kimahri only managed to see barely of either Cid's or Brother's due to some outstanding circumstances but from what he could see Machinas were amazing pieces of technology, he quickly shook out any questions he had for the injured woman in his arms, this was not a time to start playing 20 questions with a woman who has been seriously injured and in a ship that could still possibly explode.
"After this, Kimahri is going to take Penelo to the Calm Lands, it is a nice place for Penelo to relax while Penelo recovers....." He said to her, his brilliantly gold eyes looking into her brown.
((Yeah, I know. Kimahri's neutral about Machina but I like having him have a secret infatuation with them xP
Also they look brown in your avatar but if its a different color just tell me and I'll edit.))

Penelo was...pretty surprised when the...man-thing answered her with a voice. She could understand the language too, which was also surprising. She got from what he said that he was righteous and a nice person, and that his name was Kimahri. It was a cool name. "Well, Kimahri, where I come from, it's customary to thank people who do the right thing. Good deeds get rewarded and all that." She said waving a small hand in the air. She let out a surprised 'eep!' as he picked her up. She folded her arms across her chest because she really didn't know what to do with them. She was tiny in his big arms...and warm too. She noticed the snow all around her and groaned. She didn't have winter clothes.
After he took her inside the airship, she wiggled out of his arms and dropped to the floor. It was obvious she knew her way around the ship as she moved back and forth from little room to little room. She was only gone for a moment and when she came back, she had a bag almost bulging with items and a long broadsword with a light purple/lavender blade; Save the Queen. She didn't have a problem carrying it, so it was obviously her weapon. She smiled up at him as he told her where he was taking her. She liked the sound of the Calm Lands.
"Ok, Kimahri, that sounds nice." Once he took her out of the air ship again, she wiggled out of his arms to stand on her feet because Penelo was a pretty independent individual. She accepted help up to a point, but then she wanted to stand on her own two feet. "I am really sorry about crashing into the mountain. This is your home, right? I didn't hurt anyone did I? Ultima, I hope not." She fretted for a moment before she turned her eyes back to him. She could see the wisdom in his eyes and she felt really humbled in his presence. She glanced around, seeing only one path to take, but she glanced back at Kimahri, waiting for him to lead the way since she had no idea where she was going.

Kimahri nodded lightly, "In that case, Penelo is welcome...." Said the Ronso Elder before grabbing his Spirit Lance in his right arm and beckoned her to follow. His face became a bit more grim as she apologized for crashing her ship into the mountain. "Mt. Gagazet is sacred for Ronso, but Kimahri know that Penelo did not harm Gagazet on purpose. Kimahri forgives Penelo, however other Ronso may not. Kimahri will lead you the long way, away from other Ronso...." He said to her, before beginning the trek down the mountain.
Deep down he felt bad for her, making her go out the side of the mountain with the ruins meant the possibility of running into fiends, however she seemed to know magic pretty well on her own. "This side of Gagazet is where fiends lives, Kimahri will protect Penelo....." He tightened his grip around his mighty lance and continued to lead the way for her.
Almost on queue another pack of wolf fiends rushed the two of them, their numbers far greater than the few who attacked before. Kimahri set aside his Spirit Lance before focusing his energy on the wolves, he inhaled deeply before breathing what appeared to be a very grainy, white mist. Almost upon instantly coming in contact with the mist the wolves stopped in their tracks and it looked as if they were frozen, however on closer inspection it would seem that they were completely encased in stone. You could even hear them whine as they were trapped in their inescapable cell. Kimahri turned back to Penelo and gave a thumbs up with his right hand. "Kimahri know Penelo good at using magic, Penelo injured. Let Kimahri handle fiends........" He said to her, motioning for her again.
Although he made sure not to show it, he was pretty exausted mentally, it was a while since he made use of his Ronso Rage and it left him drained. He shrugged it off however, and continue to trudge down the other side of the mountain.

Penelo smiled as he said she was welcome for her thanks, then. He really did seem like an intelligent being, she wondered if all of his race was like this. As he beckoned her to follow him, she did so, though she had to take two extra steps to keep up with his long stride. It was fine though. She could keep up with this. Vaan, however, that boy was always running, no matter what reason. He could never walk. She looked up at him when he continued to speak, telling her the name of the mountain, Mt. Gagazet. It made her think back to the mountain she had traveled to back home, Mt. Bur-Omisace. It was a lot more snow-capped and beast infested than this one (at least so far it seemed).
"Well...thank you for that. When you see the other Ronso, could you tell them how sorry I am? The instruments in the airship started to malfunction, and there was just so much fog, I had no idea where I was going..." She rambled out the explanation, feeling sorry that she hurt this race's home. She looked up when he said this side of the mountain had a lot of fiends in it. She guessed fiends were his word for monsters and the wildlife back where she is from, so she nodded. She wasn't about to say she could handle herself (thought she could) at the moment because of her recent injury.
Though his healing had helped her greatly, she cast a small healing spell on herself, just to make sure she wouldn't fall out on the way down the mountain. She looked surprised as these wolves, or something that resembled wolves, jumped in front of them and she looked even more surprised when Kimahri....turned them to stone, if she wasn't mistaken. She looked pretty impressed by it, because back home it took a lot longer to turn something to stone with magic than what he did. His was instantaneous. She looked at him when he turned back to her and nodded her head a little.
"If you say so, but Kimahri, don't tire yourself, ok? I can help." She wouldn't feel right without telling him that and when he started to walk off again, she followed behind him, looking around with childish wonder. "What is this place called? I mean the world, not the mountain, you already told me that." She looked at him curiously. "I'm from a place called Ivalice, you see, and I wanna get back there. I mean I can't right now with a broken ship, but soon, you know." Penelo liked to fill the silence.

Kimahri looked down at her, although she did cast a variant of a Water Spell earlier and managed to heal herself just a second ago he had some doubts. Although he quickly shook such thoughts out of his head, he of all beings should know that people were not to be underestimated, especially Mages. Lulu would have smited him with an Ultima Spell had she heard him single out the girl based on her looks.
He listened to her about what the name of her world was and nothing she said made sense to the Ronso. "Kimahri has friends who ride in Airship, perhaps they can help Penelo with her troubles. They fly across Spira to help people, so maybe they can help Penelo......"[/color]
He quickly returned back to his attention to the mountain as it began to decline quite sharply, Kimahri slowed down a bit as he quickly grasped her minuscule hand with his giant one. "Gagazet slopes slippery, Penelo should be careful....." He muttered as he took a step out, to him the mountain was easy to traverse for him as he lived there for most of his life, however he knew for people who were not accustomed it could be quite the treacherous place, especially with the fiends beginning to pour in.
The winds began to pick up as they traversed the slope downwards, lashing the snow harder with harsh blasts. Kimahri himself was surprised, ever since the Fayth of Dream Zanarkand dissipated the weather was peaceful and nice, certainly something was wrong. Almost on cue came one of the most powerful fiends to roam across the mountain, one Kimahri did not like coming across. The massive beast blocked their path like a wall with its huge purple body, it stood itself up on its two hind legs, "It wanted a battle...." Rorok looked at Penelo before quickly letting go of her hand and grasped his weapon with both of his hands before quickly charging at the fiend, giving a mighty roar in the process of doing so.
"Field will not block Kimahri!" He yelled fiercely, swinging his Mighty Weapon powerfully.

Penelo's eyes lit up beyond delight at his words. He had friends with an airship?! She had to know who they were, so they could help her! That would be so terrific! She'd give them anything she could. Even her sword, but it was pretty expensive back home, and it had been through a lot with Penelo. She was excited, though, because there was people that could help her! "Oh yay! Who are they? Where can I find them? I have to go there immediately." she said like there wasn't a possible alternative in the world.
Penelo was used to mountain trails, having spent a lot of time scouring the slopes in the Paramina Rift with Vaan and Balthier. Both of them wanted to tag a Mark called the Trickster, which was particularly hard to find. Once they did, however, they had to chase it around because the White Chocobo liked to run and turn invisible. It was so pretty... Back to the mountain she was on, however, she watched where she was going because her sandals were actually proper mountain attire. The cold was starting to bite at her exposed skin, but there wasn't anything she could do about it. She would be fine if they just continued down the mountain. It couldn't take too long, right?
Her eyes nearly popped out of her head when the huge...thing dropped in front of her. What was that?! She gapped at it, looking worried as Kimahri ran for it immediately. She could sense buffs on it and immediately cast Dispel, and then Protega and Shellga on her and Kimahri. She hoped he wouldn't mind, but she was in the habit of using the protective magic before she started to attack. After she had cast both spells and was comfortable with their magical protection, she pulled her sword from her back and also ran at the beast, cutting at it when she felt comfortable with running towards it.

Time seemed to slow for the Ronso, he saw the mosnter quickly reel back for a massive swipe towards him. Kimahri quickly attempted to guard from the assault physically, knowing that despite that he was about to get some hurt laid on. Just then he felt a barrier erect around him before he was slapped away, thanks to the shield he was only sent back yards instead of meters. He turned to face the caster of his shield and nodded lightly before he too made another jump for the great beast.
He charged himself once again before slamming hard on the Earth to catapult him high into the air before gravity began to take effect on his body he twisted his body upside down along with his weapon, aimed right at the beast's skull, hoping to get a good hit in to end the battle nice and early. He closed his eyes as his speed downward began to accelerate hastily before quickly snapping them open before bringing down his Mighty Weapon down the beast's skull.
The rebounding force allowed the Ronso to quickly cancel out his momentum and land gracefully back by Penello's side. Whatever damage he caused to the monster was surely Lethal as soon enough the beast began to suffer from his injuries and fell back, slowly beginning to fade away into the pyreflies that composed its body.
"Fiend defeated....." Kimahri said to her before looking at his weapon before wiping off the fiend's blood into the snow. "Kimahri apologizes for the inconvience.....Penelo...." He muttered to her, his voice was beginning to get pretty tired, it was to be expected as he was utilizing overly draining moves too close to each other. But somewhere deep within he felt that he could not get the girl injured, it was odd actually he felt like she was a summoner and he was her lone guardian, an odd feeling he didn't feel until 3 years ago.
He pulled the now clean weapon out of the ground, "Kimahri does not know where Yuna and her friends are, however if Kimahri sees them then Kimahri will tell them about Penelo..." He said to the girl before continuing down the mountain and motioning for her to follow.
