History:
She is the daughter of Fury Caraway and Julia Heartilly. Her mother died in a car accident when she was five and her relationship with her father was shaky afterwards. She joined the resistance faction Forest Owls which is based in Timber. Rinoa’s dad knows her activities. She began a romantic relationship with Seifer Almasy. She learned about SeeD’s from him. At a dance, she met Squall and she got him to dance with her. She was on an errand for the Timber Owls to get Headmaster Cid to get SeeD mercenaries to aid her. Seifer introduced her to Cid, allowing her to have the SeeD group despite her payment she offered and all the complaints from the Garden.
That is when she truly met Squall and his friends, Selphie Tilmitt and Zell Dincht. She was upset that Seifer wasn't in the squad but she happy that the SeeD had came to help. The plan was to kidnap the President of Galbadia. To do so, they had to hijack the train. The plan was deployed successfully but the President was a fake, so Rinoa and the others failed on that mission.
Rinoa stayed with the SeeD's and some other people that were with them on a journey to beat a woman named Edea Kramer, who was a Sorceress that was out to rule the world (man, typical villian right?). Some of the group got separated due to getting captured by Galbadian soldiers. They reunited and Rinoa was if full happiness, as well as Squall she noticed. When they get to Selphie's home garden, Rinoa finds out that they were all raised in the same orphanage. When the Edea is defeated, Rinoa suddenly falls into a coma.
She was possessed by Ultimecia, a sorceress that was possessing Edea. She is used to unlock Adel's tomb and then is left in space to die. She was saved by Squall, luckily, and they board Ragnarok. Rinoa learned more about Squall after they embrace. She is taken to get her sorceress powers contained but is saved once again my Squall. They go to the orphanage where Rinoa tell him her concerns about being possessed once again. They agree to meet back in the flower garden if they ever get separated.
The two started back on their quest to beat Ultimecia and Rinoa now knows that she loves Squall.
