History:
Marlene was born to two loving parents, Dyne and Eleanor. She was only young back then and barely can recall their presence. But she was told by Barret constantly that they loved her so much. Tragedy struck when her hometown was destroyed by Shrina. Her mother and father were both killed but luckily for Marlene their friend Barret took her in and adopted her as his own.
Growing up with Barret as her father was all the girl could remember and she was rather happy despite such tragedy and war happening around her. At just four years old, she already gained some independence. She grew into a brave little girl although she was shy to those she didn’t know too well. But when Tifa and her father were out in the mission, the girl felt responsible enough to look after the bar while they were gone. Shortly afterwards she was captured twice, which confused and unsettled her although she was quickly rescued by her friends.
She grew to enjoy the company of Tifa and even Cloud when she got to know him better. Marlene grew to be a sensitive soul, as she had inclines on certain things not that she understood any of it. Shortly after the last battle broke out, Marlene went to stay in Edge along with Cloud and Tifa as her father was often away. She still saw him regularly but was actually enjoying spending time with her friends. Especially since they took in a young orphan named Denzel. She became quite close to him, quickly becoming best friends with the boy, even looking after him as he had the dreadful Geostigma. Although she was young, she knew it wasn’t a good thing and was often by Denzel’s beside looking out for him. She grew to be a lot like Tifa, caring and quite optimistic. All Marlene wanted was for Denzel to be okay and for Cloud to come back as he left off a while.
She was let saddened by what Geostigma was doing to the children everywhere and was even more shocked when she guessed that Cloud ad to it. It wasn’t fair that the people she loved were getting sick and she couldn’t do anything to help, expect pray for their safety. Soon after Tifa fought with Loz in the church, Marlene was kidnapped by Kudaj as well as the other children in the city. It wasn’t till Cloud appeared that she was safe, although the other children were not.
Soon after a huge battle, Marlene was relieved to see something miraculous had happened. Somehow, the Geostigma was vanishing, all thanks to the woman she only met once. She could sense her presence and was ever grateful for Denzel’s well-being, as well as Cloud’s . She was overjoyed that things were right again and that she could spend time with her new family.
