- Spiritus is Templar's ability to transform the energy around his right hand, forms a katar-like blade [or Psionic Blade in short]. The ability is only for those who carries Vaser's bloodline or those who are worthy. It can be pierces through armor even cyborg armor by the wielder's will.
Eidolons/ Summons:Azure Priestess is a deceased Pulsian priestess during War of Transgression and Templar's guardian spirit within his soul and it was her grants him ability to perform Spiritus. She often assisting Templar in battle with her wisdom and advises, sometimes she comes out from his body in soul-form and joins him in his battle for temporary.

History:
Before Events in FFXIII
Templar was born in Bodhum, as the second and youngest son in his family. His mother died during giving birth to him and only Templar, his elder brother Barisan and his father left in the family. Since after their mother's death, Templar's father begin to becomes alcoholic and commit suicide.

Apparently Templar's late father is a retired but experienced soldier, and his elder brother Barisan decides to join military service after he graduates from high school. Since after that, Templar never saw Barisan again. During his brother's military service in Palumpolum, Templar was top three and intelligent student in his class but also notable for his laid-back, lazy and lack-of-discipline attitude, pranks-making and involvement in fights. Templar also have a crush on his classmate Elegante Croise, a student who known for her acoustic guitar skilled-playing talent. She also teaches Templar to play guitar and the tabs. Both of them also befriended with Lightning Farron in their class, who is Templar's friendly rival in studies and favorite target for pranks.

The two's bondage were unbreakable until Elegante collapsed on the stage while Templar was punished for his prank-making. With haste Templar went to the hospital and saw Elegante on the bed, with her half-smile. Elegante's having a incurable disease since after her birth and now she is dying, requests Templar to play her guitar song for her "The Dandelion's Promise." and take care of her younger brother when she's gone. Tragically, Elegante departs peacefully on the next morning with her last smile. Templar almost commit suicide as he was stopped by Lightning, who then punches him in the face.

Since after Elegante's funeral and graduation, Templar and Elegante's younger brother joins military academy to start their new life. Since at the age of 17, Templar went into vigorous training and trained with arms often. Slowly during his training in the academy, Templar finds out that the military life is suitable for him. In the academy, Templar is notable for his marksmanship and tactical strategy. Not only that, his trainer and commanding officer takes pride in Templar that one day he will becomes a skilled and charismatic soldier. At the age of 18, Templar finally graduated from the academy as a Corporal and he was given an empty seat in PSICOM forces.

Slightly chances get into PSICOM but Templar turns down the offer with respect and asking for transfer to Bodhum Security Regiment.
Since after one year in the service by taking down monsters and outlaws without failure, Templar and a Guardian Corps soldier Gabriel Novak were transferred to a three-man team and trained under by Captain Alvira Irina Croise or commonly known as Bishop. Eventually Alvira was Templar's late lover Elegante's eldest sister and apologizes to her. Alvira states that it is not his fault but hers, for not seeing her young sister one last time. Trained under by Bishop's wings, Templar knows every textbook tactical maneuver code.

After the successful rescue mission in Eden, Templar was promoted to Sergeant and allowed to lead his own team. Templar picks four Guardian Corps soldier from different teams and their skills are different but valuable assets for his team and named the fire team as "Fidelis Combat Team". About many months later, Fidelis Combat Team were become famous and renown as their first operation by taking down whole Cocoon terrorist base with only four members.

Fidelis Combat Team later changed their task force's name as "Bodhum Special Warfare Task Force" or "Fidelis Task Force" as the members getting increased about 85 members who is well-trained and well-disciplined, and the task force becomes part of Bodhum Security Regiment's branch as counter-terrorist and covert operations unit. Later then, Templar becomes a Captain and field-commander of the task force at the age of 20 while his former mentor Bishop, becomes commanding officer of the unit and spearhead the operations.

FFXIII
During two months before the Purge, Templar and his counter-terrorist company were tasked to hunt down Vladimir Leach, the new leader of Silvara Cell and protoge of the first leader who Templar killed last year. They were join together with Shadow Corps, PSICOM's black ops division to pursue the terrorist leader.

Both divisions fought together against the members of Silvara Cell in several places in Cocoon even in Gran Pulse, but the task force commanding officer Bishop is suspicious and distrust towards Shadow Corps because of their secretive motives, their black operations and brutal cleansing of Pulsians in Gran Pulse villages.

As the one Fidelis team of the task force retrieve Vladimir's intelligence in Grand Pulse, the Shadow Corps brutally eliminate the team members, burned their bodies and gained the intel. Bishop, Templar and the rest of the surviving Fidelis members were attacked by not only Shadow Corps but PSICOM as well, all of them were scattered and hidden across both Gran Pulse and Cocoon. Later then, PSICOM and Sanctum were label all members of Bodhum Special Warfare Task Force as traitors and terrorists, and falsely accuse them for treason.

Furious and vengeful, Templar vows to hunt down every single members of Shadow Corps and investigates who are behind all these false accusations. Templar and his trusted subordinates were lacked of supplies and support after PSICOM completely sealed off the task force headquarters in Bodhum, so they decide to do their only choice; raid and steal PSICOM's and Shadow Corps supplies in Cocoon.

They continue to sabotage PSICOM's bases, thus steal weapons, vehicles and supplies. When Bodhum were locked down for Purge, Templar and his trusted teammates secretly infiltrate a train which carried the exiles, killed or wounded several PSICOM soldiers inside and save the exiles. As they reach in Hanging Edge, Templar and his team fight against the PSICOM and evacuate the exiles as many as they can. After Hanging Edge, Templar and his team were retreated back to the sewers as they were about to overrun by PSICOM's forces.

At the End of FFXIII
With enough Fidelis members, supplies, weapons and vehicles they had, Templar decides to raid on Shadow Corps headquarters in Eden. A large crossfire and firefighting in Shadow Corps headquarters, many Fidelis operatives and Shadow Corps soldiers were killed or wounded while Templar and his teammates fight their way through the Shadow Corps soldiers in order to face their leader.

To his shock, the leader of Shadow Corps were Vladimir Leach. Vladimir wishes to get rid of Fidelis Task Force in order to expands his terrorism and chaos across Cocoon and viewed Templar and his teammates as obstacles of Vladimir's goals. A large battle were fought between Templar's team and Vladimir's men, and finally, Templar manages to kill Vladimir in the process.

With enough evidences to prove his task force's innocents, Templar and his teammates walk out from the headquarters but discovered that Eden were overrun by Pulse monsters. They fight against the monsters but dangerously low on ammunition, Templar draws out his psi-blade as he confronts the large Pulse Behemoth and charge towards it. Before he can attacks the monsters, all monsters, Fidelis operatives and Shadow Corps soldiers were crystallized including Templar and his teammates.

As he opened his eyes, Templar were lying on a field and as he gets up, someone was stands in front of him. It was Elegante in her soul-form, she pulls Templar back onto his feet. Templar states to Elegante that he was grateful and happy that finally he reunited with her but Elegante disagrees with her gentle smile, tells Templar that he should continue to live on without her, and stay close who were close to him. As she embraces Templar one last time, Elegante slowly disappears in front of him with her one final kiss on his lips.

Templar suddenly wakes up in present, he were awake from his crystal sleep and saw his teammates were around him. As he looks upon the skies, Templar smiles as he saw Elegante again, but one last time. Templar had enough evidences to prove his task force's innocents to the Sanctum after few months of the incident, all Shadow Corps members were apprehended and the corps were shut down for good. The Fidelis Task Force were active again, in order to preserve freedom from terrorist threats. Somehow, Templar and few of his old teammates thus his leader Bishop, decide to quit Bodhum Security Regiment and organized themselves as mercenary group known as "The Expendables".

He rises his cup of beer up to his fellow Fidelis Fireteam teammates who were also cheers, it was his promotion day as a Captain in Bodhum Security Regiment. He know himself that he is seriously drunk but Templar, already in joy and happiness that he finally overcome the famous terrorists cell Soaring Serpent and killed their leader, no more work for the Fidelis Combat Team and of course, promotion for his act of bravery in Eden. "Temp! You're look so cocky when you're drunk!" the rest burst into laughter as Templar swaying around, couldn't stand still while looking at his right-hand man Ekichi.

Templar clings to his teammate's shoulder, "Ekichi, my friend! Me? No more sarge, I'm a captain now! Aye! A captain in Bodhum Security Regiment!" Templar laughs as the rest of his teammates cheer with their beer bottles up in the air, it was quite noisy but lively in the bar. A good live he lead, military life really suits him like his brother did. He made alot of friends in Bodhum Security Regiment, even his commanding officer.

"All right, you three enjoy yourselves here. I'm going to take a walk on the beach... My head are spinnin', going for taking some fresh air." Templar waves off as he walks out from the bar, looking at the night skies, Templar smiles. Walked himself down to the beach, it was really quiet down there except for the cool breeze from the ocean, as if it welcomes him. Bodhum was his home, his place of birth, the place where he did a lot of memorable fun in the past, the place where he found his true love.

As he walks on the sands, Templar's walking isn't balance and he was fall onto the sands, lying there in the open. Templar laughs to himself loudly, "Wow.... What a good life I had..... Right? Elegante?" Templar smiles as he look towards the skies of night, hopefully someone come here to have conversation with because he was bored now. "Drinking alcohol really makes you like an idiot, like now." voice of recognized female voice from behind, Templar gets himself and turned around, and saw his old friend.

"Lightning!" Templar shouts then laughs at Lightning, she shakes her head with deep sigh. "Mactavish... You're drunk now.... Come on, let's get you home." Lightning places Templar's arms on her shoulder, he was quite heavy. "I know.... Thanks anyway." Templar look at Lightning with his eyes and gentle smile.
